About Me

People's perception of what journalists do seems distorted by a plethora of soundbites and minute-long clips online, reducing our profession to nothing more than taking unwarranted shots at politicians and organizations.

But journalism needs context like we need oxygen. As a digital reporter, that's why I aim to describe the contours and nuances of each news topic so that those soundbites and clips don't have the power to warp the facts.

That's why I source my stories from a variety of legislators, outside experts and community stakeholders to create a richer and more accurate narrative that does justice to the complexity of the topics I cover. Whether it's the legacy of a renowned anthropologist or the ins and outs of a name, image and likeness (NIL) lawsuit, I treat each topic with the same level of delicacy and care.

My political stories have been picked up by The Times of San Diego, The Tucson Daily Star, Arizona Mirror, Tucson Sentinel and other local papers.
